🏔 Mt. Hehuan Worthit!

There is a list of 100 worth-hiking mountain peaks in Taiwan: 臺灣百岳 (The Baiyue). 🏔
Among the list, Mt. Hehuan is one of the most accessible mountains above 3000m, and it is also the highest point on the highest road in East Asia.🗺

Mt. Hehuan consists of several peaks, but only five peaks are on the list of Baiyue: Hehuan main peak, Hehuan east peak, Hehuan north peak, Hehuan west peak, and Mt. Shimen. ⛰

Except for the Hehuan west peak, the rest of the summits can be easily reached:
Hehuan main peak (3417 m.a.s.l.): 1 hrs
Hehuan east peak (3421 m.a.s.l.): 1 hrs
Hehuan north peak (3422 m.a.s.l.): 2 hrs
Mt. Shimen (3237 m.a.s.l.): 20 “minutes” ✨

With even only 20 mins to get to the top, the accessibility of Mt. Shimen has become one of the most popular spots for Taiwanese to witness the sunrise and the mountain views.🌄
Simply get out of the car, bike or scooter, and jog up, then you can claim that you completed at least one of Taiwan’s high 100 Peaks!🚗

Driving from Taichung will only take you about two hours to get to these trailheads, and you will then be surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Central Mountains Range. The breathtaking view will wipe all your worries away.💨
